Court orders house arrest and bail  for former Masis Mayor 

ArmInfo. The RA Criminal Court of Appeals has ordered an alternative preventive measure for the former Mayor of Masis, David Hambardzumyan, replacing his detention with house arrest and bail. The ruling was issued by  Judge Harutyun Petrosyan.

The court's decision partially granted a motion filed by  Hambardzumyan's legal defense team. In addition to house arrest and  the financial bail requirement, the court imposed a travel ban to  ensure the defendant remains within the jurisdiction. Supporters of  the former mayor greeted the announcement with applause in the  courtroom.

Recall, David Hambardzumyan had been in custody since his arrest on  October 28.
