ArmInfo. US President Donald Trump sent a letter to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, stating that due to his failure to win the Nobel Peace Prize, he "no longer feels obligated to think only about peace," Bloomberg reports.
According to available information, in the letter, Trump notes that he has ended more than eight wars, yet has never been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
"Given that your country has decided not to award me the Nobel Peace Prize for ending eight-plus wars, I no longer feel obligated to think only about peace," Trump said in the letter.
According to the US President, he can now reflect on "what is good and right for the United States of America."
"The world will not be safe unless we have complete and total control over Greenland," Trump noted.
The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded in Oslo by the Nobel Committee. As the Norwegian Prime Minister stated, the country's government has no influence on this process.
"I have explained to Trump several times what is well known: the Nobel Peace Prize is awarded not by the Norwegian government, but by the independent Nobel Committee," the Norwegian Prime Minister stated.
