


ArmInfo. The Investigative Committee of Armenia is investigating the circumstances of the incident in Goris that claimed the lives of two people.
According to the agency, the Investigative Committee of Armenia has opened a criminal investigation into the incident that occurred in Goris on January 25 under Article 155 of the RA Criminal Code (murder) (two counts), Articles 44-155 of the RA Criminal Code (attempted murder), and Article 335 of the RA Criminal Code (illegal trafficking of firearms, their main components, ammunition, and other materials, devices, and objects).
Meanwhile, according to the press service of the Armenian Police, on January 25, a grenade exploded near the Tozkap cemetery. "It was discovered that a grenade exploded in the hand of 45-year-old Varuzhan Yolyan during a domestic dispute. Varuzhan Yolyan and 38-year-old Armen Yolyan were killed, and a 30- year-old Goris resident present during the conflict was injured and taken to a medical center," police reported.
According to the source, a criminal case has been opened, and all circumstances of the incident are currently being investigated. Armenian media previously reported that one of the deceased, Armen Yolyan, was the driver of Goris Mayor Arushanyan. It is noted that a domestic dispute arose between Armen and Varuzhan Yolyan, which led to this tragic outcome. Specifically, the relatives were fighting over the division of their grandfather's mansion, which they inherited. Media also report that the injured man is a 30- year-old Artsakh resident who attempted to prevent the tragedy.
