Irakli Kobakhidze on J.D. Vance`s planned visit to South Caucasus:  "We are waiting patiently"

What other comment can I make?" Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze made this statement, in  response to a question   about J.D. Vance's planned visit to Armenia  and Azerbaijan in February and  why Georgia was not included in the  itinerary of J.D.

Responding to a follow-up question about why the country was not  included on the US Vice President's agenda, given the South  Caucasus's transit role, and Georgia being part of this transit  route, Kobakhidze replied: "That's up to them to decide." "According  to our information, this visit is dedicated specifically to the  Zangezur issue-based on this, it is quite natural that the American  politician will visit Azerbaijan and Armenia. You know what the  context of Georgian-American relations is. It is very difficult. This  context was created by the Biden administration. Let's see how it  will develops against this backdrop. We are waiting patiently. We  have publicly stated that we are ready to renew the strategic  partnership from a clean slate and with a specific guideline."

Meanwhile, according to Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, Georgia is in a  holding pattern for a reset in relations with the United States. " We  have repeatedly stated our willingness to reset relations. The  attitude that President Biden's administration has demonstrated  toward Georgia-unjust, consisting solely of lies, deception, and  threats-is categorically unacceptable. We are an independent and  sovereign state, and everyone must respect our statehood and  sovereignty. It doesn't matter that we are a small country. We are  the state our ancestors and previous generations fought for. We are  still forced to fight today, and of course, we will do everything to  ensure that the interests of our country and our people are protected  first and foremost. Today, there is truly no end to the war or  victory over the Deep State in sight. So we remain in a holding  pattern," stated Kakha Kaladze.
