


ArmInfo. A delegation led by the Chief of Staff of the Indian Armed Forces, General Anil Chauhan, visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex to commemorate the victims of the Armenian Genocide.
According to the press service of the Museum-Institute of the Armenian Genocide Victims, the delegation was welcomed by the Director of the Institute, Edita Gzoyan. Following the official wreath-laying ceremony, the guests laid flowers at the eternal flame and honored the memory of the innocent victims with a minute of silence. Gzoyan then escorted the guests to the Museum of the Armenian Genocide Victims, where they were introduced with the museum's permanent and temporary exhibitions. Special emphasis was placed on a poster depicting Indian eyewitnesses of the Armenian Genocide and the efforts of Indian soldiers to rescue Armenian orphans. The orphaned child, Hrach Gndkazatyan, was named the hero of this story as a sign of gratitude. At the end of the tour, General Chauhan made a note in the Memory Book of Honorable Guests.
