"Based on Part 1 of Article 91 and Article 93 of the Constitution, and based on Part 2 of Article 103 of the Constitutional Law 'Electoral Code of the Republic of Armenia':
1. The next elections to the National Assembly are scheduled for June 7, 2026.
2. This decree shall enter into force on the day following its official publication," stated the decree issued by RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan on February 6.
As a reminder, back in June 2025, the Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia announced on his Telegram channel that the 2026 parliamentary elections in Armenia would be held on June 7. "Today is June 7. Exactly one year remains until the next elections to the National Assembly of Armenia. They will be held on June 7, 2026. The countdown has begun," Simonyan wrote.
