Political scientist: When Democrats come to power in the US, they  will quickly sell TRIPP shares to Turks and Azerbaijanis 

ArmInfo.  The post-Vance reality raises several new questions on Armenia's domestic political agenda, according to political scientist Vahe Hovhannisyan.  The political scientist first of all asks where the "pro-Western  Armenian society" is heading-toward Europe or the US? "In the modern  world, these are completely different poles, practically in a state  of cold war, with different short-term and strategic goals.

Where are we heading? If opposition forces correctly and persistently raise  this issue with Armenian society, it will understand that the current  Armenian authorities are leading us only one way-to the outskirts of  Turkey. When the Democrats come to power in the US, what will happen  to the 'Trump path'? Most likely, the Americans will leave quickly,  selling their shares to the only buyer-the Turks and Azerbaijanis.  It's obvious that the state system and the activists of the "Civil  Contract" party have been instructed to talk everywhere about 9  billion American investments. Howeve, this lie didn't last even 24  hours. Now Artsrun Hovhannisyan, who could be held responsible for  spreading lies, is no longer there, claiming that 'he deceived us  until November 8th, because we knew we were winning,'" Vahe  Hovhannisyan emphasized.

He noted that Vance's removal of the post about his visit to  Tsitsernakaberd and the statement he made in Baku that "a tolerant  atmosphere reigns in Azerbaijan, where representatives of different  religions live peacefully, like one family, in peace and friendship,"  speaks to only one thing: the idea of dignity also distinguishes man  from animal. "In the context of destroyed Artsakh and Armenian  churches, hearing such things and applauding Vance is insulting.  However, as it turns out, there is no reciprocity.  Turkish and  Azerbaijani drivers will drive on our roads without any problems. And  not a single Armenian driver will drive a car through Azerbaijani  territory to Russia. Vance left for his distant America. Each side  got what they wanted. And what did we get? What did Armenia get by  unconditionally fulfilling Azerbaijan's most stringent condition - an  unimpeded corridor between the two parts of Azerbaijan? What did  Armenia get in return? The fact that it will no longer be possible to  drive normally from Yerevan to Kapan.

 The same corridor condition existed in 2020 in exchange for  preserving Armenian Artsakh, and these same authorities tore their  hair out, screaming that there would be no corridor. Now they're  granting a corridor,  there is no Artsakh, but they're calling on us  to rejoice and applaud. And part of the broken people, who lost  Artsakh, applauds, not understanding what happened and not  understanding what will happen next. The authorities, having failed  in all domestic spheres, are trying to deceive us with external fairy  tales. And this fairy tale is very sad, as Vance's visit  demonstrates. Syunik is turning into a region of "Azerbaijani roads"  and mines that will be ruthlessly exploited. The inability to derive  real benefit from American mediation, of course, requires a special  "talent." However, even in the current situation, it is possible to  negotiate and manage the future process more positively while  agreements are being developed. The next government should include  solutions to this problem in its election platform," the political  scientist emphasized.
