According to the Ambassador, Iran welcomes the Armenian Prime Minister's peace- oriented policy, contributing to the development and progress of the region. Khalil Shirgolami stressed that the concept of a developed Armenia is at the core of Iran's strategic policy, and they are guided by this principle.
The interlocutors then discussed Armenian-Iranian cooperation in various areas and touched on the progress of joint programs. In the context of unblocking regional transport routes and developing trade and economic ties, the parties emphasized the importance of steps aimed at establishing rail links between the two countries, which could become part of the establishing broader ties.
