
ArmInfo. Rewriting history, especially the events of World War II, is a strong element of hybrid warfare. This was stated by Armenian Ambassador to Russia Gurgen Arsenyan in an interview with Vesti.
"This is our shared victory. 250,000 Armenian soldiers fought in the battles against German fascism. This is a very strong element of hybrid warfare against any country, when you force history to be rewritten," Arsenyan emphasized.
More than 100 representatives of foreign diplomatic missions in Moscow toured the updated exhibition at the Central Armed Forces Museum. The tour presented the key stages of World War II, from the first days of hostilities to Victory Day. Particular attention was paid to the contributions of the peoples of the Soviet Union. Visitors to the exhibition noted that some politicians today are attempting to reinterpret the events of the past.
Approximately 600,000 Armenians participated in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-45. 300,000 sons of the Armenian people did not return home from the front. The Armenian people rank fourth among the peoples of the USSR in terms of the number of generals and officers, and sixth in terms of the number of Heroes of the Soviet Union. During the war, 70,000 Armenians were awarded orders and medals[59] (including more than 500 doctors), 106 Armenians and 11 representatives of other nationalities from the Armenian SSR received the title of Hero of the Soviet Union (Ivan Baghramyan and Nelson Stepanyan - twice), 68 Armenian generals commanded various military units on all fronts of the Great Patriotic War. 27 people became Full Cavaliers of the Order of Glory of all three degrees.
