


ArmInfo. Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Sergei Vershinin as Ambassador to Turkey, relieving him of his post as Deputy Foreign Minister.
In accordance with a presidential decree published on the official legal information portal, Vershinin was relieved of his post as Deputy Foreign Minister due to his transfer to another position.
By another decree, Vershinin was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Turkey.
Vershinin had served as Deputy Foreign Minister since March 2018.
