ArmInfo. Gegham Manukyan, NA deputy from the opposition "Armenia" faction, demanded that his colleague from the ruling "Civil Contract" faction, Gagik Melkonyan, be called to order.
Addressing Andranik Kocharyan, Chairman of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Security and Defense, on March 2, the MP noted that in one of his interviews, Gagik Melkonyan had made an irresponsible statement regarding the military-political leadership of Artsakh, sentenced to various prison terms by the Azerbaijani puppet regime.
"I demand that he be prohibited from making public statements on this matter," Manukyan said. After this, the situation at the commission meeting escalated sharply. Gagik Melkonyan attempted to intervene, but Andranik Kocharyan prevented him, calling the assembled group to order. "Let's put emotions aside, especially since the agenda has been approved. We may face both calm and turbulent times, so let's show respect for each other, respect for the prisoners of war and their future. If the need arises to discuss issues outside the agenda, we will gather together and discuss how to move forward," Kocharyan said.
