Archbishop Khachatryan: Everything attributed to me has nothing to do  with reality

ArmInfo.Archbishop Arshak Khachatryan, head of the chancellery of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, was released from the Yerevan-Kentron penitentiary a little before.

Speaking to journalists, the archbishop noted that he does not know  the reason for the court's decision to release him from custody at  this stage. However, one thing  he is certain of is that everything  attributed to him has absolutely nothing to do with reality. "They  simply wanted to intimidate me, but they didn't succeed," he added.  His greatest regret is that Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan was left  alone in a cell at the same penitentiary. He urged everyone to pray  for the fortification of Galstanyan's spirit.  As the bishop stated,  everyone must be prepared to pay the price for their views and  convictions, even if that price is imprisonment. The head of the  chancellery of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin thanked the media,  lawyers, spiritual brothers led by the Catholicos of All Armenians,  as well as public and political figures who supported the church and  clergy during this period, "without losing faith in those who were  unlawfully imprisoned."

Overall, despite the PI  referred to as a correctional institution by  many, the bishop, in his words, "is glad to report that I remained  incorrigible." My views and stance remain the same," said Archbishop  Arshak Khachatryan.
