ArmInfo. Effectively utilizing the Armenian diaspora's potential will enable success in all spheres of Armenia's life, according to Narek Karapetyan, a board member of the "Strong Armenia" party.
According to him, the country has Armenian pioneers in every field of activity around the world. Karapetyan noted that it is virtually impossible to find an Armenian living in poverty outside of their homeland. "This indicates that the problem lies with the Armenian government and its ineffective governance. Properly harnessing the potential of the Armenian Diaspora-namely, prominent figures in science, business, sports, security, and all other fields-will enable us to achieve results similar to countries that effectively leverage their diaspora's capabilities," Karapetyan noted in his video message on Facebook.
In this regard, he emphasized that Armenia should not be limited to a few nationalists, but rather should open the door to the diaspora and provide it with the opportunity to participate in the country's governance. "This, in turn, will allow us to raise the bar and achieve more," Karapetyan concluded.
Recall, at a meeting with Armenians in Istanbul in 2025, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the purpose of his meetings with representatives of the Armenian community during his visits abroad is to make it clear that they should not rely on him. In particular, Pashinyan stated that Armenians must resolve their issues themselves with the authorities of the country in which they live.
Meanwhile, while still in the Armavir penal institution, Samvel Karapetyan, chairman and founder of the Strong Armenia party, stated that during Nikol Pashinyan's short time in power, the diaspora's presence in the country's life had been entirely eradicated. In this regard, he noted that the diaspora must once again become one of the pillars of Armenia.
