Military Prosecutor: No recorded cases of murder within military in  2025

ArmInfo. In Armenia in 2025, the Prosecutor General's Office has filed lawsuits totaling approximately 36 billion drams. This information was shared by Deputy Prosecutor General and Military Prosecutor Grigor Elizbaryan, when presenting data on cases registered in the Armenian Armed Forces in 2025 at an expanded meeting of the agency's Council.

Specifically, as reported by the press service of the  agency,  according to the military prosecutor, 2,248 cases were registered in  military units of the Armed Forces of  Armenia and other troops in  2025. out of these, 1,027 (45.7%) were accidents, and 1,221 (54.3%)  were cases of alleged crimes. Moreover, a decrease of 110 crimes  (8.3%) was recorded. Compared to 2024, the number of serious crimes  in 2025 decreased by 49 (27.5%), and especially serious crimes by 25  (64.1%).

According to the RA Military Prosecutor's Office, no cases of murder  were recorded in the RA Armed Forces in 2025. The following  service-related deaths were recorded in 2025: 6 conscripts, 2  conscripts from the NSS Border Troops, and 1 militant.

In 2025, the damage caused to the state as a result of criminal cases  investigated by investigative bodies totaled 411, 728,000 drams (in  2024: 1, 479, 117,000 drams), of which 108, 712,000 drams were  recovered as a result of criminal cases investigated in the pre-trial  procedure (in 2024: 51, 935,000 drams).  Additionally, 1, 300,000  drams in damages to the state were recovered as a result of  proceedings for the execution of judicial decisions.

In 2025, 943 criminal cases with indictments from prosecutors of the  RA Military Prosecutor's Office against 1,070 individuals were  transferred to the court of general jurisdiction (in 2024: 905 cases  against 1,027 individuals). In 2025, 856 criminal cases against 951  individuals were heard and concluded in court, 708 of which resulted  in convictions. 785 individuals were found guilty.

According to the Military Prosecutor's Office, in 2025, 280  investigations conducted by the Department for the Protection of  State Interests at the Central Military Prosecutor's Office and  garrison military prosecutor's offices recorded damages to the state  in the amount of 1,432, 493,000 drams (in 2024: 5, 677, 550,000  drams). In 2025, damages to the state in the amount of 938, 80,000  drams were compensated, of which 924, 294, 000 drams were reimbursed  by the Department for the Protection of State Interests outside of  court proceedings. Of the damages recorded based on the results of  studies conducted in 2024, 92, 213,000 drams were reimbursed in 2025.

In 2025, military prosecutors filed 24 claims in the area of  protecting state interests (19 claims in 2024).  The total amount of  confiscation claims in these 24 claims is 4, 564, 117,000 drams.
