


ArmInfo.Hundreds of Armenians gathered outside the Armenian Embassy in Moscow today to protest Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's working visit. The demonstrators voiced strong support for the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC) and Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II.
Footage circulating on Russian Telegram channels shows a crowd carrying placards depicting detained archbishops and criticizing the Prime Minister's policies toward religious institutions. Some of the slogans read "The Church is the foundation of Armenian national identity," "The Civil Contract Party (the ruling Civil Contract Party) is equal to destroying the state," and "Stand up for the Holy Armenian Apostolic Church." Some posters also featured provocative imagery of Pashinyan: the Armenian Prime Minister in the guise of the devil.
Recall, the Armenian prime minister departed for a working visit to Russia today. As part of the visit, Pashinyan is scheduled to meet with Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
