Aram I: Maintaining Lebanon`s territorial integrity and sovereignty  is a priority

ArmInfo.  Maintaining Lebanon's territorial integrity and sovereignty is a priority. Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I stated this after a meeting with Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun. 

"We visited the President of the Lebanese Republic, General Joseph  Aoun, to express our support, on behalf of our community and  personally, for his work and positions, as well as for the government  he leads.  Indeed, we consider it a priority and necessary to  preserve Lebanon's territorial integrity and sovereignty, strengthen  state authority, maintain the army's presence in all regions of  Lebanon, and firmly uphold national unity, especially in the current  critical circumstances. We believe this is the approach of every  Lebanese," said Aram I.

According to him, it is necessary to refrain from expressions that  fuel internal conflicts and to unite around the supreme and common  interests of the homeland. "Lebanon is in grave danger. Israel's  invasion of southern Lebanon, its ongoing bombings, and its killings  are strongly condemned. Israel's actions are contrary to  international law. Therefore, the international community, and  especially countries friendly to Lebanon, must not remain indifferent  to Israel's ongoing hostile actions. A planned and consistent  approach to the refugee issue is necessary. The special care shown by  the state and all communities towards refugees is highly appreciated.  We hope that the situation will soon improve and they will return to  their regions and homes," Aram I emphasized, his words published on  his Facebook page.
