ArmInfo. Stability Party leader Firdus Zakaryan has announced his support for Samvel Karapetyan's Strong Armenia Party in the parliamentary elections in Armenia.
The Stability Party's press service told ArmInfo that this decision was made based on an assessment of the current situation, the similarity of their shared ideas and approaches, and to prevent the dispersal of votes.
"The Republic of Armenia is experiencing one of its most difficult periods. The grave consequences of the war-casualties, wounded, prisoners, the forced displacement of Armenians from Artsakh, the violation of the inviolability of the homeland's borders, the distortion of traditional values-have weakened Armenia's defenses and disrupted the country's security system. The country's moral character has also been distorted.
The use of words like patriotism, Ararat, and Artsakh are being presented today as a pretext for inciting war," Zakaryan recalled.
As the politician noted, the existence of Armenia and the world are being presented as "exceptional" achievements of the current Armenian government, when in reality, under their leadership, the division in society has reached dangerous proportions, intolerance and hatred are corroding it from within, and in such an atmosphere, even the best-laid plans cannot be realized. "The Republic of Armenia needs to create a new environment, implement changes in all areas, and adopt a balanced position in domestic and foreign policy.
We need change today. The current government is incapable of this. Under the guise of democracy, a monopolistic form of government has been established, in which the various branches of government are not fully functioning, with all the ensuing consequences. In the current situation, to achieve the desired changes, the country needs new people and new political forces that will be free from the aforementioned mistakes and temptations. In our opinion, the Strong Armenia party, led by Samvel Karapetyan, represents such a force," the party leader noted.
In this regard, he called on members and supporters of the Stability Party, fulfilling their civic duty, to actively participate in the parliamentary elections and vote for the Strong Armenia party's electoral list. As a reminder, on February 12, businessman Samvel Karapetyan, the leader of the Strong Armenia party, was unanimously elected as the prime ministerial candidate for the Strong Armenia party at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex. Parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7, 2026.
