ArmInfo. Russia is insisting on a referendum on Armenia's membership in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) or the European Union (EU) in order to ascertain the foreign policy choice made by the country. Political analyst and  observer Beniamin Matevosyan expressed this opinion on his Telegram  channel, noting that the necessity of such a move is not entirely  clear to everyone.

ArmInfo.  The course of events in Armenia shows that the possibility of convening the  National Assembly without the blessing of the Catholicos of All  Armenians is seemingly becoming a reality. International lawyer  Robert Amsterdam writes about this in his article.

ArmInfo. The Regional Center for Democracy and Security has published its  final report on hate speech targeting forcibly displaced persons from  Nagorno-Karabakh during and after Armenia's 2026 parliamentary  elections.

ArmInfo.During a Westminster Hall debate on the impact of conflicts on older people, Shadow Minister  Andrew Snowden MP raised the killings of elderly  Armenians in Nagorno Karabakh during the 2020 war, as reported by the Armenian National Committee of the United Kingdom.

ArmInfo.  Below is a statement Lilit Galstian, a member of the RA delegation to the OSCE PA representing the opposition faction Armenia, made at the 33rd session of the OSCE  PA in The Hague. 

ArmInfo. As part of the 15th round of the Human Rights Dialogue, the European Union (EU)  encouraged Armenia to improve detention conditions, including by  addressing the overcrowding in several penitentiary institutions and  expanding the scope of alternative measures to pre-trial detention. 

ArmInfo.  Colonel Edik Maloyan, a combat veteran in the Nagorno- Karabakh conflict zone and a cavalryman awarded the 1st degree "Combat Cross," has been arrested  for two months. This was reported to Armenian media by the  Investigative Committee of Armenia.  Roman Javadyan, a defendant in  Colonel Edik Maloyan's case, was also arrested for two months.

ArmInfo.Artsakh Parliament Speaker Ashot Danielyan announced the formation of a multilateral commission to study the feasibility of using the budget funds of the Nagorno- Karabakh Republic (NKR) starting January 1, 2023.

ArmInfo.  Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's desire to close the Artsakh issue is aimed at concealing the failures of an eight-year policy that has jeopardized the existence of the Republic of Armenia.

ArmInfo. We will take all possible steps to prevent any attempts to continue the Karabakh movement, including because the people of Armenia voted for such a vision. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this on June 25, commenting on the rhetoric coming from Baku regarding "Western Azerbaijan" and the "resettlement of 300,000 Azerbaijanis."

ArmInfo.The Azerbaijani authorities have committed another act of vandalism, according to a report by the historical environment protection organization Artsakh Monuments. 

ArmInfo. Both Armenia and Azerbaijan face issues related to missing persons, and these matters must be resolved through mutual cooperation, as stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan  during a press-briefing on June 11. He also noted that such cooperation not only institutionalizes peace  but also closes a painful chapter in the conflict.

ArmInfo. Six hundred applications from Artsakh residents have already been filed with the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) to protect their property seized by Azerbaijan as a result of the occupation of Artsakh. This was announced on his Facebook page by Artak Beglaryan, head of the Artsakh Union public organization and former State Minister of Artsakh and the Nagorno- Karabakh Republic.

ArmInfo.Nagorno-Karabakh was lost by Armenia because Yerevan, without consulting Russia, signed a statement recognizing it as part of Azerbaijan, as stated by Robert Kocharyan, Armenia's second president and the "Armenia" bloc candidate for prime minister, in an interview with the RBC TV channel.

ArmInfo. The November 9, 2020, ceasefire agreement did not grant the Russian peacekeepers any mandate, and the Armenian Prime Minister's actions on the Artsakh  issue have relegated these peacekeepers to the status of outside  observers. This was stated by Robert Kocharyan, the second president  of Armenia and leader of the "Armenia" bloc, on the Public Television  of Armenia.

ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that a strong and combat-ready army is the guarantee of Armenia's security and peace. He made these remarks  during an address to residents of the city of Hrazdan.

ArmInfo.  The leaders of the three-headed war party - Samvel Karapetyan, Robert Kocharyan, and Gagik Tsarukyan - have no connection to the Armenian Apostolic Church, but are using it for their own interests. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan shares a similar view.

ArmInfo.  In the upcoming elections, the people must decide whether or not they will strive to preserve and develop Armenia's independence, strengthen the state, sovereignty, and peace. RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made this statement  on May 21 at a meeting with voters in Geghanist, Ararat  region.

ArmInfo.The leader of  the "Prosperous Armenia" party, l Gagik Tsarukyan, will use all available legal instruments to protect his own interests, including those related to the Ararat Cement plant, as stated by Iveta Tonoyan,  spokesperson for the "Prosperous Armenia" party, at an urgent press conference on May 20.

ArmInfo.  Parliamentary elections in Armenia must not become a space for division, but rather a platform for responsibility and dignified dialogue, as stated by Arusyak Terchanyan, a member of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia, during a training session in Yerevan on "Combating Hate Speech and Sexism Ahead of Parliamentary Elections in Armenia."
