ArmInfo.  OSCE Chairperson-in-Office and Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen,  speaking at the OSCE Foreign Ministers' Council meeting in Vienna,  called the closure of the Minsk Group structures for the  Nagorno-Karabakh conflict "a vital step."

By rejecting the 2019 proposal of the OSCE Minsk Group (OSCE MG) Co-Chairs for a final settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has challenged not only Azerbaijan but the entire international community, as well as the OSCE MG Co-Chair countries. 

ArmInfo.On December 2, the Armenian government disclosed a package of documents that served as the basis for negotiations on Nagorno-Karabakh until 2020, but I would like to discuss the 2019 document. "A fairly good document," opposition MP Artur Khachatryan said during a government hour on  December 3, asking Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan about Yerevan's reaction to the promising document proposed by the OSCE MG. 

ArmInfo.  The Russian side considers the decision of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) to dissolve the Minsk Group on the Nagorno- Karabakh conflict to be justified. This was stated by the  official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria  Zakharova at a briefing on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic  Forum.

The dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group is an irreversible process, as Armenia and Azerbaijan have not only abolished this structure, but also made it impossible for other countries to veto this decision, as stated by. Artsakh Ombudsman Gegham Stepanyan stated during the international  conference "Artsakh: Unresolved Conflict, Right to Return"  in Yerevan, organized by the ARF Supreme Body.

ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan surrendered Artsakh, recognized it as part of Azerbaijan and dissolved the OSCE Minsk Group, and all of this occurred within the  mandate given to him by the citizens of Armenia, as stated  by Samvel Shahramanyan, the 5th President of Artsakh,  to journalists following the opening ceremony of the Call of Artsakh  Memorial in the Yerablur military pantheon.

ArmInfo. "We welcome the decision of the OSCE Ministerial Council dated September 1, 2025, regarding the dissolution of the Minsk Group and its subsidiary bodies," reads a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of  Turkiye.

ArmInfo.Armenia's consent to the "joint statement" on the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group under the conditions of the use of force and the threat of force is considered invalid under international law, as noted in  a statement issued by the Central Office of "Hay Dat" of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation "Dashnaktsutyun" (ARF) in response to the official statement of the OSCE on the closing of the Minsk Group - the only international structure mandated to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. 

ArmInfo. It is expected that a decision to abolish the OSCE Minsk Group will be made on September 1. The appeal to abolish the OSCE Minsk Group and its related structures has been distributed among OSCE countries.

ArmInfo.The Armenian MFA has started the formal process of dissolving the OSCE MG. Today, the Foreign Ministry sent the  joint appeal to the OSCE participating states on the closure of the OSCE Minsk process and related structures, as reported by the press service of the Ministry.

ArmInfo.  The OSCE Minsk Group for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict has lost all meaning after the American and French mediators stopped contacting the Russian one. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov expressed a similar opinion in his article "Half a Century of the Helsinki Act: Expectations, Reality, Prospects" published in the Rossiyskaya  Gazeta. 

ArmInfo. The European Union is encouraged by the peace process between Yerevan and Baku and would like to see it finalized as soon as possible, as stated by Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, at a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat  Mirzoyan.

ArmInfo. The so-called "Lavrov  Plan", that is being discussed by many, simply did not actually  exist. The third President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan  told journalists about this on June 10th.  According to him,  initiatives, as a rule, came from the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk  Group, who presented a unified stance on various proposals for  resolving the Artsakh issue. By "Lavrov's Plan", the former president  clarified, a modified version of the Kazan document needs to be  considered, which, in turn, was based on the Madrid principles.

ArmInfo.  In his post, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the peace agreement with Azerbaijan, the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group, and Baku's demand to revise the Constitution of Armenia.

ArmInfo.  Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan proposed that Azerbaijan simultaneously sign both a peace agreement and a statement on the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He stated this on April 15 from the rostrum of the parliament.

ArmInfo. The Lebanese office of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutyun (ARF) "Hay Dat" sent letters to ambassadors of a number of countries calling for pressure on Azerbaijan to stop the false trials and ensure the release of Armenian prisoners of war.

ArmInfo.  The Armenian government has announced on the highest level that it has neither an objective nor a goal to escalate the situation and continues to act  by the principles of the peace agenda, as noted  by the press  secretary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry Ani Badalyan, who answered  the questions of Armenpress,  in response to the  statements by  Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry  spokesperson Aykhan Hajizadeh, who  falsely accused Armenia of violating the ceasefire and failing to  fulfill its obligations.

ArmInfo. The OSCE Minsk Group, mandated to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, is de facto not working. This was stated by Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey  Kopyrkin in an interview with 24News.

ArmInfo.The alternative socio-political movement "Together " has sent  an open letter to the presidents of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair countries - Russia, the USA and France requesting their attention to the trial of the  military-political leadership of the Republic of Artsakh  in Baku. 

ArmInfo. Theoretically, a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan could be signed, as stated by Armenia's second President Robert Kocharyan at a press conference on February 17.
