ArmInfo.  Ashot Zakaryan, Chief of the Military Police of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, received  a delegation led by Shalva Shengelia, Head of the Military Police  Department of the Georgian Defense Forces, who was in Armenia on a  three-day visit to exchange experiences and develop cooperation in  the field of military policing.

ArmInfo.  The Shirak Regional Court of General Jurisdiction has convicted investigative journalist Lilit Aghekyan. The defense intends to appeal the verdict. This was  announced by the journalist's lawyer, Zaruhi Postanjyan. "On July 14,  2026, Judge Varsenik Melkonyan of the First Instance Court of General  Jurisdiction of the Shirak Region of the Republic of Armenia  convicted investigative journalist Lilit Aghekyan.

ArmInfo.  The current Armenian government is publicly pressuring law enforcement agencies to arrest second President Robert Kocharyan. Robert Kocharyan himself stated  this on July 10 at a hearing in the Anti-Corruption Court, where  hearings on the March 1, 2008, case continue.

ArmInfo.  Employees of the Ararat Cement plant, owned by Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, are holding a protest on the premises, demanding the  plant's resumption of operations following investigative actions  conducted by law enforcement agencies.

ArmInfo. Officers from the General Department of Criminal Police of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs have suppressed the activities of a criminal group  suspected of carrying out computer theft on an especially large  scale, as reported by the MIA press service.

ArmInfo.  Armenia will allow for remote court hearings using videoconferencing for defendants and convicts. The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia will  discuss amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code and a package of  related bills in their second reading at an extraordinary session on  July 2.

ArmInfo. On July 1, the Administrative Court of Armenia, presided over by Judge Varazdat Mikaelyan, upheld the claim of the Armenian Apostolic Church against  the police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This was reported by  lawyer Ara Zogryabyan.

ArmInfo. If the ruling Civil Contract party of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had declared all of its election campaign expenses, it would have  triggered the application of Article 27 of the Electoral Code, which  mandate the revocation  of a political party's electoral list.  Liparit Drmeyan, a representative of the "Wings of Unity" party, made  this statement on July 1 in his closing remarks at the Constitutional  Court of Armenia.  The Court is currently reviewing petitions from  opposition political forces seeking to annul the results of the  parliamentary elections held on June 7.

ArmInfo.  During his visit to Armenia, Georgian Interior Minister Sulkhan Tamazashvili inspected the operations and logistics of the administrative complex of the 112  Operational Control Center and the Patrol Service of the Ministry of  Internal Affairs.

ArmInfo. Armenian authorities are not shortening the duration of military training for reservists because they view it as a punitive instrument. This opinion was  expressed on his Facebook page by National Assembly MP Tigran  Abrahamyan from the opposition "I Have the Honor" faction.
