ArmInfo.  Employees of the Ararat Cement plant, owned by Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, are holding a protest on the premises, demanding the  plant's resumption of operations following investigative actions  conducted by law enforcement agencies.

The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia will  discuss amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code and a package of  related bills in their second reading at an extraordinary session on  July 2.

ArmInfo. On July 1, the Administrative Court of Armenia, presided over by Judge Varazdat Mikaelyan, upheld the claim of the Armenian Apostolic Church against  the police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This was reported by  lawyer Ara Zogryabyan.

ArmInfo. If the ruling Civil Contract party of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had declared all of its election campaign expenses, it would have  triggered the application of Article 27 of the Electoral Code, which  mandate the revocation  of a political party's electoral list.  Liparit Drmeyan, a representative of the "Wings of Unity" party, made  this statement on July 1 in his closing remarks at the Constitutional  Court of Armenia.  The Court is currently reviewing petitions from  opposition political forces seeking to annul the results of the  parliamentary elections held on June 7.

ArmInfo.  The Constitutional Court of Armenia has concluded its first session regarding the petitions filed by opposition forces seeking to invalidate the  results of the June 7 parliamentary elections. The court is scheduled  to reconvene tomorrow, June 27, at 11:00 a.m. 

ArmInfo. Supporters of Armenia's opposition are currently holding a protest outside the Constitutional Court, where their petition to invalidate the June 7  parliamentary elections is being heard. Significant police forces  have been deployed to the area in response to the protest.

In Armenia, the drug trafficking detection rate in 2026 increased to 52.7% compared to last year (50.9%), as stated by Police Colonel Vache Hovsepyan, Head of the Criminological Analysis and Law Enforcement Cooperation Department of the Criminal Police General Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, during a press conference on  "Combating Drug Use and Illegal Trafficking."
