ArmInfo. From April 27 to 30, the European Parliament will hold debates on the adoption of a resolution to support Armenia in the fight against external interference ahead of the country's parliamentary elections in June, as reported by the European Parliament's press service.
It is noted that "during the plenary debate with Commission and Council representatives, and in Thursday's accompanying resolution, MEPs are expected to stress the need for a vote free from external interference, and to raise concerns over attempts by Moscow to sow disinformation and influence the ballot's outcome. In addition, Parliament is expected to call for more efforts to strengthen Armenia's overall democratic resilience, with the EU recently having a new civilian mission to support Armenian authorities with capacity building and to face multi-layered threats such as foreign information manipulation and interference (FIMI), cyber-attacks and illicit financial flows."
