Vahagn Hovakimyan, Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission of Armenia, presented the CEC's preparatory work for the elections at a meeting with a delegation led by the head of the CIS observer mission, CIS Deputy Secretary General Nurlan Seytimov. The CEC of Armenia informed ArmInfo of this.
It was also reported that the CIS will send a total of 120 observers to the Republic of Armenia for the upcoming June 7 elections to the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
Nineteen political forces will participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections. As previously announced, representatives of the OSCE/ODIHR, PACE, the CIS IPA, and other international organizations will observe the elections.
