Narek Karapetyan only citizen of Armenia, lawyer claims 

ArmInfo.  Narek Karapetyan, a member of the political council of the Strong Armenia party, is only a citizen of the Republic of Armenia; this page of stupid lies must be closed. This was stated by lawyer Aram Vardevanyan.

He stated that the Armenian authorities first spread stupid lies,  then initiated political criminal prosecution based on these stupid  lies, but first announced it through a politician.

"Spread stupid lies to distract people from their shameful behavior.  To sum it up: Narek Karapetyan is only a citizen of the Republic of  Armenia; this page of stupid lies must be closed; this page of hatred  must be closed - Change is coming," Vardevanyan wrote on his Facebook  page.

Earlier, the Latvian Insider reported that the leader of the Strong  Armenia party, Samvel Karapetyan, was allegedly an agent of the  Russian FSB, and that Narek Karapetyan was a Russian citizen. Both  figures denied these claims, but the government's propaganda machine  continues to circulate this news. 

Furthermore, the Investigative Committee of Armenia opened a criminal  case for Narek Karapetyan's concealment of dual citizenship.  Furthermore, the Central Election Commission of Armenia stated that  it had verified Narek Karapetyan's background and found that he does  not hold dual citizenship.
