ArmInfo.Maria Zakharova, the official spokesperson for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, took to her Telegram channel to address allegations that Russia has been creating deepfake videos featuring Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Zakharova posted a video of Pashinyan alongside a link to a Euronews article. The article alleged that Armenia had become the target of a Russian disinformation campaign dubbed "Matryoshka," which increasingly utilizes artificial intelligence technologies. Zakharova dismissed the publication, calling it "information regurgitation."
"Don't get carried away by stories of the alleged use of AI technologies or bot networks. That is Nikol Vovaevich Pashinyan himself," the Russian MFA spokesperson noted.
