ArmInfo. "On June 7, national suicide must be prevented at all costs," writes Samvel Farmanyan, aformer member of the National Assembly of Armenia.
According to him, if history has taught the Armenian people one main lesson, it is to avoid becoming caught in in the crossfire of conflicts between major world powers at any cost. "Who do we blame now – Russia, Europe, America, Turkey, or Azerbaijan? Do we blame each of them for advancing their own interests at our expense, dictated by their national and state interests? This is disgraceful. The elite of a people that has survived for millennia could not be so infantile and stupid. Is it possible to maintain our own state with such a political elite? With whose help are these countries advancing their interests and escorting us all to the scaffold? Is it not our own people? Is it not Armenians? Many years ago, a statesman said something that made me shudder. He said that several foreign states have more agents in Armenia than any political party has loyal members.
This is a national suicide, accompanied by songs and dances, carelessness and indifference. On June 7, national suicide must be prevented at all costs. Nikol must go," Farmanyan wrote.
