ArmInfo. The 7th "HAY-AT JAZZ: Armenians in Jazz, Jazz in the Yard" festival will take place in Gyumri from August 28 to 31. Over the course of four days, jazz will be performed in Gyumri's historical and cultural setting, creating a unique dialogue between music, the city, and its cultural heritage.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia, the festival is being held with the financial support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports and is the initiative of the educational and cultural NGO Ai Link.
The initiative, titled "4 Days, 4 Concerts in the Yards of Gyumri Museums," was first implemented in 2017. A distinctive feature of the festival is that jazz concerts are held in the courtyards of Gyumri's museums and cultural institutions, transforming the city into an open-air concert venue.
This initiative brings together various cultural spheres, presenting jazz music in a museum setting. This format allows for the integration of cultural heritage preservation and promotion with contemporary musical culture.
The festival also promotes accessibility and dissemination of jazz music among music lovers. Admission to all concerts is free.
