ArmInfo. On October 30, RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received a delegation led by Johannes Luchner, Deputy Director-General for Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission. According to the government press service, the meeting was also attended by Interior Minister Arpine Sargsyan and Ambassador Vasilis Maragos, Head of the European Union Delegation to Armenia.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that visa liberalization is an important area for expanding contacts, mobility, and ties between Armenian citizens and EU countries.

The parties noted the progress achieved in implementing the Visa Liberalization Action Plan.

The interlocutors also discussed improving the migration management system, including preventing illegal migration, as well as improving return and readmission procedures and the work being done in the area of integrated border management.
