Stepanakert: Baku`s test of drones is dangerous, but this does not  mean that we do not take adequate measures to confront this threat

According to him, it's no secret to anyone that Azerbaijan spends  major funds for armament. "But we do not sit idly by, we take all the  necessary measures to prevent even the slightest advantage of  Azerbaijan in this matter. Yes, these steps of Baku are dangerous,  but this does not mean that we do not take adequate measures to  confront this threat," Babayan said. At the same time, he expressed  the conviction that the international community should keep this  issue in the center of attention. According to him, a number of  countries should give up assistance to Azerbaijan, realizing that  this assistance will later come out "sideways". "What Baku is doing  today is militarization, and steps should be taken to reduce  militarization, which in turn will strengthen peace and security in  the region, which is important from a geopolitical point of view.  Many countries must refuse to provide assistance to Azerbaijan,"  Babayan concluded.

Earlier, an article was published by the Minister of Defense Industry  of Azerbaijan, Yaver Jamalov, which says that Azerbaijan has started  preliminary testing of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) capable of  hitting live force and enemy equipment. According to the minister,  preliminary testing of unmanned aerial vehicles with cumulative heads  has already been started. "The device will have the ability to  independently detect and destroy both the living force and the  enemy's military equipment." In addition, negotiations are being  conducted with a number of countries on the creation of electropulse  weapons," the head of the department said.

Reporting on the establishment of a joint venture with an Israeli  company, Yaver Jamalov noted that Azerbaijan produces unmanned aerial  vehicles for various purposes. "We are negotiating with the Turkish  company Aselsan in various directions, and we have already decided to  establish a service department at the Alov plant, and in 2018 we  intend to implement projects with a number of Turkish companies, as  well as relevant structures of other countries," he added. . The head  of the department noted that these projects can also include the  creation and deployment of a sniper rifle with a caliber of 23  millimeters. "In addition, work is under way to create devices  capable of landing unmanned vehicles of the enemy, but projects  related to the transfer of uncontrolled air bombs to a controlled  version will be carried out," the minister said.
