ArmInfo. The defense of the representatives of the "Sacred Struggle" movement of Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan will transfer important information on the case of "preparations for the seizure of power" to foreign diplomatic missions accredited in the Republic of Armenia. Hovhannes Khudoyan reported this on his Facebook page.
"Considering the one-sided and incomplete dissemination of information by the Investigative Committee in the conditions of the secrecy of the pre-investigation check, today we submitted a petition to the investigator for permission to publish the secret pre-investigation check in the volume that became available to the defense," he noted.
The lawyer recalled that for the first time the Investigative Committee published edited recordings, the content of which was clearly distorted /for example, by comparing with the materials submitted to parliament by the Prosecutor General/. Khudoyan noted that despite the defense's motion regarding the presence of inaccuracies in the disseminated material, the Investigative Committee began distributing the English translation of the edited recordings without changes, it became clear that the goal is not only to mislead the Armenian society, but also to provide the outside world with false propaganda, but not legal material.
"Therefore, from now on, we will also simultaneously transmit important information on the case to diplomatic missions in the Republic of Armenia," the lawyer emphasized.
On June 25, law enforcement officers began searching the homes of supporters of the "Sacred Struggle" movement and people with opposition views. The Investigative Committee stated that the participants and leaders of the movement were allegedly planning terrorist attacks and the seizure of power in Armenia. Sixteen people were arrested for two months on charges of attempting to "seize power," including the leader of the movement, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan.
