Detained supporters of Sacred Struggle movement released - RA  Ministry of Interior 

ArmInfo. Supporters of the "Sacred Struggle" protest movement Artur Demirchyan, Lusine Grigoryan and Ovnatan Demirchyan, who were detained in the morning for placing a banner, were released after a protocol on an administrative violation was drawn up. This was reported to ArmInfo by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Armenia.

The department noted that these individuals were detained at 8:55 am  local time on Monte Melkonyan Street. "They were detained for actions  stipulated by Article 172.2 of the Administrative Violations Code of  Armenia. The relevant protocols were drawn up at the Malatia police  station, after which they were released," the MIA reported.

Earlier, the press service of the protest movement "Sacred Struggle"  reported that supporters of the movement were detained for holding a  peaceful rally, during which they hung a poster over the road  demanding the immediate release of all political prisoners.

Recall that the Prime Minister of Armenia launched a campaign against  the Armenian Apostolic Church in May, and all those who disagree with  it under one or another serious article are taken into custody. Thus,  on June 18, philanthropist and president of the Tashir Group of  Companies Samvel Karapetyan was detained and then taken into custody  for 2 months after he expressed support for the Armenian Apostolic  Church. He is accused of publicly calling for the seizure of power in  the country. Karapetyan does not admit guilt. In addition, on June  25, 16 opposition figures and supporters of the "Sacred Struggle"  movement were taken into custody, led by the leader of the movement,  Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan. They are accused of attempting to  "seize power." And on June 28, the Yerevan Court of First Instance  decided to arrest the Primate of the Shirak Diocese of the Armenian  Apostolic Church, Archbishop Mikael Ajapakhian for two months.  Archbishop Mikael Ajapakhian is accused of calling for the violent  overthrow of the government.  This was preceded by the penetration of  law enforcement officers into the territory of the Mother See of Holy  Etchmiadzin. Detentions and arrests continue.
