ArmInfo. It is expected that a decision to abolish the OSCE Minsk Group will be made on September 1. The appeal to abolish the OSCE Minsk Group and its related structures has been distributed among OSCE countries.
Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov made this statement during a special meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Washington. "In general, the initialing of the peace agreement in the United States rather than signing it demonstrates the consistency of Azerbaijan's position," he noted. Bayramov also boasted that, thanks to Baku's efforts, the OSCE Minsk Group was removed from the process of resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The Azerbaijani official also noted that until the end of January this year, Armenia did not agree with several provisions of the peace agreement.
"Armenia, in particular, did not agree to the terms related to withdrawing claims from the courts and preventing the deployment of third forces on the border. The joint declaration signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia in the presence of Donald Trump during his visit to the United States reaffirms Azerbaijan's peace agenda," the Foreign Minister noted.
