Russian Ambassador holds talks with  UN WFP representative in Armenia

ArmInfo.  Sergey Kopyrkin, Russian Ambassador to Armenia, received Leila Meliouh, the newly appointed Director of the UN World Food Programme Office in Armenia.

As reported by the press service of the Russian Embassy in Armenia,  during the meeting, the prospects for cooperation within the  Sustainable School Feeding program were discussed, which has been  supported by the Government of the Russian Federation since 2010. 

The parties noted the high efficiency of cooperation between the  Russian Federation, the UN and the Government of Armenia and their  willingness for close coordination within the framework of the 5th  stage of the project,  which is designed until 2030. The Russian  Federation has committed to a targeted contribution of over $ 25  million  to the UN fund.
