ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan continues his spiritual, cultural, ideological, cognitive, informational, and psychological warfare against the Armenian people and Armenia, according to Hrachya Arzumanyan, a doctor of political science, candidate of technical sciences, and expert on military and national security issues.
The expert stated that this is further evidenced by the draft law, which aims to grant the "Real Armenia" ideology state status. "The types of wars listed above can be expanded, and the most important thing is to recognize and accept that this is war. Pashinyan is waging a war against the Armenian people to maintain power, relying on the support of hostile centers of power.
Previous campaigns in this war are fresh in our memories. We can recall the Artsakh campaign, when Pashinyan single-handedly, without even a parliamentary mandate, renounced Artsakh and the Artsakh heritage of the Armenian people, seeking to turn the Artsakh Armenians, who had survived the Medz Yeghern, into enemies of Armenian society," he noted.
According to him, then came the campaign of rejecting Western Armenia and Historical Armenia and the subsequent attack on Ararat, which provoked a harsh reaction in society. The expert noted that, without giving Armenian society time to recover, a new attack and aggression followed, this time against the Armenian Apostolic Church, as a religious institution and the cornerstone of Armenian identity. Once again, the harsh reaction of the Armenian people forced the prime minister to temporarily retreat and remain silent.
"And now comes a new campaign and attack on Ararat, and the intention to grant the surrogate ideology of 'Real Armenia' the status of a state ideology protected by law. A law that will enshrine in the legislative space the demand that Armenian society renounce its history, Ararat, and the Mets Yeghern-renounce Historical Armenia and its collective memory, and become mankurts," Arzumanyan continued.
He also noted that one can speak of the traditional behavior of totalitarian and authoritarian regimes that grant state ideology the status of law-Bolshevism, Nazism, Maoism, Juche, and others.
"The authoritarian leader and his entourage (the top military-political leadership) strive to concentrate all power in their hands, enshrining it in the legal and ideological realm, and Pashinyan has been observed engaging in such behavior on numerous occasions. There's no point in recalling how many times he declared himself the government and authority in Armenia, how many times he acted outside the constitutional framework, unilaterally, without even notifying parliament, the executive, and the judiciary.
Therefore, granting "Real Armenia" the status of state ideology in the legislative realm will create legal grounds for persecuting members of Armenian society who refuse to renounce Ararat, the Armenian Apostolic Church, Historical Armenia, the memory of the Mets Yeghern, and so on," Arzumanyan asserted.
The expert noted that Pashinyan is resorting to waging war within the legal realm (lawfare), expanding the list of forms of warfare waged against the Armenian people. He believes that the Prime Minister's discussion of "legitimacy" is explained in this context, and that Pashinyan and his ruling team genuinely seem to fail to understand the difference between the terms "legitimacy" and "legality."
"The Prime Minister of Armenia has no legitimate right to speak as a national leader. He can speak on behalf of the clear minority of the Republic of Armenia's population who support him, but not the Armenian people, the majority of whom live outside the borders of the Armenian state. In the current situation, each of us must make the choice I wrote about recently: are you for Pashinyan and Real Armenia, or for Ararat, the Armenian Apostolic Church, Historical Armenia-the right to historical memory and the memory of the Meds Yeghern? We must answer-each and everyone together, and for starters, we can go and vote for the legislative initiative," Arzumanyan concluded.
