


ArmInfo. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Syrian Foreign Minister Assad al-Shaybani discussed the development of bilateral Armenian-Syrian relations during a telephone conversation.
According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry's press service, an agreement was reached to intensify political dialogue and cooperation in areas of mutual interest through joint efforts, including reciprocal visits.
He emphasized that the traditionally friendly relations between Armenia and Syria, as well as between the two peoples, create a solid foundation for developing cooperation.
The Armenian and Syrian Foreign Ministers identified economic, investment, and humanitarian programs as areas with development potential. In this context, Mirzoyan expressed Armenia's readiness to continue supporting humanitarian demining efforts in Syria.
Mirzoyan and al-Shaybani discussed regional developments. The Syrian Foreign Minister congratulated his Armenian counterpart on the establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan as a result of the agreements reached in Washington on August 8. They exchanged views on steps being taken to further strengthen peace.
