


ArmInfoGermany and Armenia are making an important contribution to perpetuating the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide, as stated by German Ambassador to Armenia, Claudia Busch, during her visit to the Armenian Genocide Museum- Institute today.
"Germany bears historical responsibility for the Holocaust. Remembering this gap in civilization and fostering a culture of remembrance for the future remains an obligation for all generations. Armenia and Germany are making an important contribution to immortalizing the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide by supporting the creation of a new museum guide and German versions of the audio guide," the German Embassy in Armenia quotes Busch as saying.
The German Bundestag recognized the Armenian Genocide on June 2, 2016. The resolution not only recognizes the fact of the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey at the beginning of the 20th century, but also acknowledges Germany's responsibility for those events.
