ArmInfo. Yerevan hopes that the situation in the region caused by tensions between Washington and Tehran will be resolved diplomatically, as stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a meeting at the Polish Institute of International Affairs, in response to a question about how the failure to resolve the crisis diplomatically will affect stability in Armenia.
"As you know, Armenia is a small and modest state, and we are not in a position to judge the relations between the US and Iran. Of course, we are concerned, and our desire is that opportunities arise to find a diplomatic way out of this situation.
Of course, in this extremely unstable and volatile situation, we are glad that we have been able to establish stability and peace in our region. Any instability any challenge is very worrying, and we hope for stability in the broader region. Obviously, we can't have a significant influence on this situation, so all we can do is hope that everything will be fine. And if there are opportunities to have a positive influence, we would like to do so, but, as I said, we are a small country, and can only encourage and join the voices of diplomacy," Nikol Pashinyan said.
